WHAT IS ISLAM?

Islam is a monotheistic religion that originated in the 7th century in the Arabian Peninsula, and is based on the teachings of the prophet Muhammad{pbuh}, who is the final prophet and messenger of Allah. The word "Islam" means "submission" in Arabic, and the religion is based on the belief in one God (Allah) and the acceptance of the teachings of the Quran, which is the word of God as revealed to Prophet Muhammad{pbuh}.

The core beliefs of Islam are known as the Five Pillars of Islam, which include the declaration of faith (shahada), prayer (salah), charity (zakat), fasting (sawm), and pilgrimage (hajj) to Mecca, which is considered the holiest city in Islam.

Islam is a complete way of life that encompasses all aspects of human existence, including social, economic, and political systems, as well as personal spirituality and morality. They also believe in the Day of Judgment, when all souls will be judged by ALLAH according to their deeds and actions in this life.

Islam has more than one billion followers around the world, making it the second-largest religion after Christianity. Muslims come from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and the practice of Islam varies from country to country and from individual to individual.

ISLAM IS BASED ON : Islam is based on the belief in one God, who is referred to as Allah in Arabic. Allah is the one and only true God and that there is no other deity worthy of worship. This is known as the doctrine of Tawhid, which is the central belief of Islam.

In addition to the belief in one Allah, Islam is based on the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, who is the final prophet and messenger of ALLAH. PROPHET Muhammad received divine revelations from Allah, which were recorded in the Quran, the holy book of Islam.

The Quran is considered to be the ultimate authority in Islam and contains guidance on all aspects of life, including morality, spirituality, social and economic issues, and politics. Muslims also rely on the Hadith, a collection of sayings and actions of the prophet Muhammad, to provide guidance on how to live a virtuous and fulfilling life.

The Five Pillars of Islam, which include the declaration of faith, prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage, are also central to the practice of Islam and provide a framework for Muslim worship and ethical behavior.

Overall, Islam is based on a belief in one God, a reliance on the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, and a commitment to living a virtuous and ethical life in accordance with the guidance provided by the Quran and the Hadith.

HAJJ

 HAJJ Hajj (or Haj) is one of the five pillars of Islam and is an annual pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
