HOLY QURAN The Holy Quran is the central religious text of Islam and is considered to be the word of ALLAH, revealed to the prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel over a period of 23 years.  PILLARS OF ISLAM There are Five Pillars of Islam, which are considered to be the foundation of Muslim faith and practice. The Five Pillars are: Shahada (Declaration of Faith) - The declaration of faith is the statement of belief that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is his prophet. This is the central creed of Islam and the first and most important of the Five Pillars. Salah (Prayer) - Muslims are required to pray five times a day, at specific times, facing towards the Kaaba in Mecca, which is considered the holiest site in Islam. Zakat (Charity) - Muslims are required to give a portion of their wealth to the poor and needy as an act of charity and to purify their wealth. The core beliefs of Islam are known as the Five Pillars of Islam, which include the declaration of faith (shahada), prayer (salah), charity (zakat), fasting (sawm), and pilgrimage (hajj) to Mecca, which is considered the holiest city in Islam.
